RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT THROUGH THE YEARS The best office I ever had was in Winnipeg, the north-west corner on the top floor. Massive. In my 1992 performance appraisal, the C.O. wrote “…the Informatics program plans in this Division are second to none across the Force.” Pretty good tribute if you ask me! We continued our tradition of big Christmas trees, but my God they were expensive. Must have cost us over $100 every year. Got sticker shock the first year we purchased one, and then learned they were trucked in from Nova Scotia. What did we know?! For a measly 25-30 bucks, we used to cut our own in Winchester, and they were massive. Christmas - 1992 For New Years Eve this year we attended a formal function at the Air Force Officers Mess. RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT THROUGH THE YEARS 1993 Mum “popped in” for a couple of weeks, just in time for the twins’ birthday…sweet 16. Each of them received a set of car and house keys. My little black car would never be the same. About this time, I was lucky to be able to utilize an unmarked police car for going back and forth to work, so that freed up the Sunbird, which the twins took to school almost daily…even though it was only ‘down the block’. Keys to the Kingdom for the twins Tim turned 18 and graduated from Fort Richmond Collegiate high school with all kinds of honours and awards. And we chaperoned his night’s festivities…all night long. Grade 12 Graduation Sharon got herself a job at the University of Manitoba book store. June 2017 178
