RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT
THROUGH THE YEARS
The earliest evidence of human activity
within the Bourton-on-the-Water area was
found in the Slaughter Bridge gravelspread,
where Neolithic pottery (dated c.
4000 B.C.) was discovered. Excavations
give evidence of almost continuous
habitation through the Neolithic period, the
Bronze Age and throughout England's
Roman period (c. 43 to 410 A.D.).
Mum’s 80 th birthday
Uncle Phil passed in October, so Sharon,
Christopher and I made a quick visit to Rhode
Island to attend his funeral.
Robyne abandoned us for Christmas in
Australia. Staying in hostels, she had her
belongings stolen, including, of course, the
money. So, we had to bail her out. Think she
found it a bit long down there and was happy to
get home.
Tim joined Nestlé in November 1999 as a Route
Planning & Performance Manager.
Made a flying visit down to Sarnia in December to see Mum
for her 80 th birthday, and Christine.
I forgot that yes, we did get another bird (“Birdie”), a
cockatiel…this one belonged to Christopher who acquired it
when he was living in an apartment with friends, but then had
to move back home…so
we adopted it. It became
a prolific egg-layer, so
we found it a new home.
