RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT THROUGH THE YEARS Poor little Molly sadly had to be put to sleep in September. She had untreatable diabetes and was not in good health. She was 12 years old. Now that the Alpha female had departed, Penny came out of her shell and became very close to us. Sharon and I spent 3 lovely weeks in England, travelling around and enjoying time with the uncles, aunts, and cousins, but not before our annual trek to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic with friends Hank and Pat Nielsen, with whom I worked in the RCMP in Ottawa, and have known since before 1990. 32 nd Anniversary With Pat and Hank in Punta Cana June 2017 215
RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT THROUGH THE YEARS 2006 Starting in March, I had a one-year contract at Agriculture Canada, where I was assigned numerous and varied tasks: • I assisted in the review of the Department’s internal IM/IT organization and processes, • Prepared a draft Official Languages policy for the IM/IT organization, • Developed a Human Resource Management Action Plan based upon their corporate HR Strategic Plan and their IT employees’ responses to the Public Service Employee Survey 2005. • Identified learning products and/or activities available to the public service, including their costs. • In liaison with Corporate Services, Human Resources, and Training, and to address Official Languages training of employees within the IM/IT organization developed a strategic and dual-option tactical plan. • Developed a Competency Resource Guide and Learning Framework for the Computer Systems (CS) Development Program, a career enhancement strategy for computer systems personnel. • Developed a Change Management Implementation Strategy and Communications Plan.
