RICHARD ALLEN SCOTT
THROUGH THE YEARS
1961
In the Spring of 1961 I made
my first effort at organized
sports – softball, playing in
the purple and yellow
uniform of the Cosmos
(same colours as my future
High School). I was
atrocious and got relegated
to right field where I could do
the least damage. I seem to
recall that the coaches would
yell “you’re not playing
cricket”. Don’t remember
getting a hit, and definitely
not a home run. Pretty sad.
This was the year I started using hair ‘products’ (known as ‘grease’ to the
boys). It gets worse.
