THROUGH THE YEARS
Precision Drill demonstration – Sep, 1967
Our training in
Penhold was a dream,
4-man rooms instead
of 32, good food, not
so much punishing
physical ‘stuff’, and so
on.
Graduation day was
September 5 th 1967.
The precision drill
demonstration was the
highlight of the day,
intricate marching for
about 15-20 minutes
without any verbal
commands. All done
by count. Hours and
hours of practice to
get it right.
All 32 of us made it through training and then scattered to all corners of Canada. I graduated
second in my troop.
I was posted to Abbotsford Detachment,
Chilliwack Sub-Division, “E” Division (British
Columbia)
Never been there, never heard
of it, but happy to go.
