Polycrystalline silicon wafers are manufactured with a lower cost process<br />

than monocrystalline silicon wafers. They are cast in long square ingots. After<br />

slicing, polycrystalline wafers are already in the desired square shape. Compared to<br />

monocrystalline cells, polycrystalline cells also typically have a bluish color and are the<br />
