Computer Programming<br />
Technology<br />
Some of the hottest careers in the job market these days are<br />
within the Information Technology sector. That’s why Computer<br />
Programming Technology at TSTC makes sense for a great career<br />
choice. <strong>Student</strong>s in this program get a practical, h<strong>and</strong>s-on education<br />
that teaches them the technical skills required in the IT field. In<br />
addition to technical skills, the student’s training centers on the<br />
development of logic, problem-solving <strong>and</strong> soft skills. CPT provides<br />
specialized training in business application, mobile development,<br />
<strong>and</strong> database functionality that focuses on career expectations<br />
leading to a variety of positions, from program analyst <strong>and</strong> database<br />
administrator to consultant, systems analyst <strong>and</strong> computer engineer.<br />
Computer Programming Technology is 100% online. <strong>Student</strong>s will<br />
be required to take the <strong>Student</strong> Online Learning Orientation course<br />
(SOLO 100).<br />
First-Year Seminar Requirement<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s are required to enroll in the First-Year Seminar course,<br />
TSTC 1102, in their first semester attending TSTC unless they<br />
have completed more than 24 credit hours. Please see detailed<br />
