Robotics Technology<br />
TSTC's Robotics Technology program prepares students for a job<br />
in this exploding career field. This option emphasizes the study of<br />
complex mechanical systems in computer-integrated manufacturing<br />
or CIM environments. Focusing on automated manufacturing<br />
processes <strong>and</strong> the role of robots <strong>and</strong> associated supporting<br />
equipment, coursework covers motion programming, vision <strong>and</strong><br />
conveyor systems, computer networking, PLC programming,<br />
automated sorting, sensor systems, <strong>and</strong> computer integration.<br />
Robotics Technology is available at the Fort Bend County <strong>and</strong> Waco<br />
campuses.<br />
First-Year Seminar Requirement<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s are required to enroll in the First-Year Seminar course,<br />
TSTC 1101, in their first semester attending TSTC unless they<br />
have completed more than 24 credit hours. Please see detailed<br />
