AUMT 1473 Automotive Electronics Theory (2-6-4) This course is<br />

intended to educate the entry -level technician to the Tesla Motors<br />

advanced automotive technology. Topics studied will include , but<br />

not limited to: safety when working with or around high voltage<br />

systems, inverter power transfer, battery technologies, battery<br />

management systems, High Voltage Bus & Charging, Pack Connector<br />

& Penthouse controls <strong>and</strong> Autonomous technology.<br />

AUMT 1474 Infotainment Systems <strong>and</strong> Service Center Skills (2-6-4)<br />

This course is intended to educate the entry -level technician to<br />

the Tesla Motors advanced automotive technology. Topics studied<br />

will include , but not limited to: safety when working with or around<br />

high voltage systems, infotainment systems ans subsystems. Work<br />

activities at the Tesla Service Center.<br />

AUMT 2188 Internship (or Field Experience) - Automobile/<br />

Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician (0-0-1) A workbased<br />

learning experience that enables the student to apply<br />

specialized occupational theory, skills <strong>and</strong> concepts. A learning plan<br />

is developed by the college <strong>and</strong> the employer.<br />

AUMT 2307 Hybrid Sysems Diagnostics (2-4-3) An advanced study<br />

of hybrid vehicles <strong>and</strong> the unique characteristics of hybrid systems.<br />

Includes hybrid safety procedures <strong>and</strong> diagnosis <strong>and</strong> repair of<br />

hybrid systems. Prerequisite AUMT 2413, AUMT 2425 (Corequisite)<br />

AUMT 2321 Automotive Electrical Diagnosis <strong>and</strong> Repair (2-<br />

4-3) Repair of automotive electrical subsystems, lighting,<br />

instrumentation, <strong>and</strong> accessories. Emphasis on accurate diagnosis<br />

<strong>and</strong> proper repair methods using various troubleshooting skills <strong>and</strong><br />

techniques. May be taught manufacturer specific.<br />

AUMT 2328 Automotive Service (2-4-3) Mastery of automotive<br />

service including competencies covered in related courses. May be<br />

taught manufacturer specific. Prerequisite AUMT 2413, AUMT 2417,<br />

AUMT 2321<br />

AUMT 2337 Automotive Electronics (2-4-3) Study of electronic<br />

principles applied to microcomputers <strong>and</strong> communication systems.<br />

Includes digital fundamentals, <strong>and</strong> use of electronic test equipment.<br />

May be taught manufacturer specific. Prerequisite AUMT 2321<br />

AUMT 2357 Automotive Alternative Fuels (2-4-3) A study of the<br />

composition <strong>and</strong> use of various alternative automobile fuels<br />

including retrofit procedures <strong>and</strong> applications, emission st<strong>and</strong>ards,<br />

availability, <strong>and</strong> cost effectiveness. Overview of federal <strong>and</strong> state<br />

regulations concerning fuels.<br />

AUMT 2380 Cooperative Education - Automobile/Automotive<br />

Mechanics Technology/Technician (1-0-3) Career-related activities<br />

encountered in the student's area of specialization offered through<br />

an individualized agreement among the college, employer, <strong>and</strong><br />

student. Under the supervision of the college <strong>and</strong> the employer,<br />

the student combines classroom learning with work experience.<br />

Includes a lecture component. Prerequisite AUMT 2413, AUMT 2417,<br />

AUMT 2413 Automotive Drive Train <strong>and</strong> Axles (2-6-4) A study<br />

of automotive clutches, clutch operation devices, manual<br />

transmissions/ transaxles, <strong>and</strong> differentials with emphasis on<br />

diagnosis <strong>and</strong> repair. May be taught with manufacturer specific<br />

instructions.<br />

AUMT 2417 Automotive Engine Performance Analysis I (2-<br />

6-4) Theory, operation, diagnosis of drivability concerns, <strong>and</strong><br />

repair of ignition <strong>and</strong> fuel delivery systems. Use of current<br />

engine performance diagnostic equipment. May be taught with<br />

manufacturer specific instructions. Prerequisite AUMT 1201 or<br />

AUMT 1305, AUMT 1307 (Prerequisite), AUMT 1419 (Prerequisite or<br />

Corequisite)<br />

AUMT 2425 Automotive Automatic Transmission <strong>and</strong> Transaxle<br />

(2-6-4) A study of the operation, hydraulic circuits <strong>and</strong> electronic<br />

controls of modern automatic transmissions <strong>and</strong> automatic<br />

transaxles. Diagnosis, disassembly, <strong>and</strong> assembly procedures with<br />

emphasis on the use of special tools <strong>and</strong> repair techniques. May be<br />

taught manufacturer specific. Prerequisite AUMT 2417 (Prerequisite<br />

AUMT 2434 Automotive Engine Performance Analysis II (2-6-4)<br />

Diagnosis <strong>and</strong> repair of emission systems, computerized engine<br />

performance systems, <strong>and</strong> advanced ignition <strong>and</strong> fuel systems.<br />

Includes use of advanced engine performance diagnostic<br />

AVIM 2337 Aviation Law (3-0-3) A study of domestic <strong>and</strong><br />

international aviation law.<br />

AVNC 1303 Introduction to Aviation Electronic Systems (3-0-3) An<br />

introduction to the relationship between aviation electronic systems<br />

<strong>and</strong> aircraft flight <strong>and</strong> navigational systems with emphasis on the<br />

operation <strong>and</strong> function of the systems.<br />

AVNC 1306 FAA Regulations for Avionics Certified Repair Station<br />

(3-0-3) This course provides practical experience in the day-to-day<br />

operations of a Federal Aviation Administration Certified Repair<br />

Station. <strong>Student</strong>s will perform tasks which will include completion of<br />

repair station <strong>and</strong> FAA forms <strong>and</strong> records, maintenance of technical<br />

data <strong>and</strong> servicing equipment.<br />
