the design process <strong>and</strong> art direction. Emphasis on form <strong>and</strong> content<br />
through the selection, creation, <strong>and</strong> integration of typographic,<br />
photographic, illustrative, <strong>and</strong> design elements. Prerequisite ARTC<br />

ARTC 2348 Digital Publishing III (2-4-3) A project based page layout<br />
course from concept to completion addressing design problems,<br />
preflight of files, color separations, <strong>and</strong> trapping techniques.<br />

ARTC 2349 Art Direction II (2-4-3) Mastery of advanced art direction<br />
projects with emphasis on selected topics in advertising campaigns.<br />

ARTC 2388 Internship - Commercial <strong>and</strong> Advertising Art (0-0-3) A<br />
work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply<br />
specialized occupational theory, skills <strong>and</strong> concepts. A learning plan<br />
is developed by the college <strong>and</strong> the employer.<br />

ARTV 1345 3-D Modeling <strong>and</strong> Rendering I (2-4-3) Techniques<br />
of three-dimensional (3-D) modeling utilizing industry st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />
software. Includes the creation <strong>and</strong> modification of 3-D geometric<br />
shapes, use of a variety of rendering techniques, camera, light<br />
sources, texture, <strong>and</strong> surface mapping. Prerequisite ARTC 1302<br />
ARTV 1351 Digital Video (2-4-3) Producing <strong>and</strong> editing video <strong>and</strong><br />
sound for multimedia or web productions. Emphasizes capture,<br />
editing, <strong>and</strong> outputting of video using a digital video workstation.<br />
ARTV 2341 Advanced Digital Video (2-4-3) Advanced digital video<br />
techniques for post-production. Emphasizes integration of special<br />
effects <strong>and</strong> animation for film, video, <strong>and</strong> the Internet. Exploration of<br />
new <strong>and</strong> emerging compression <strong>and</strong> video streaming technologies.<br />

AUMT 1280 Cooperative Education- Automobile/ Automotive<br />
Mechanics Technology/Tech (1-0-2) Career-related activities<br />
encountered in the student's area of specialization offered through<br />
an individualized agreement among the college, employer, <strong>and</strong><br />
student. Under the supervision of the college <strong>and</strong> the employer,<br />
the student combines classroom learning with work experience.<br />

AUMT 1305 Introduction to Automotive Technology (2-4-3) An<br />
introduction to the automotive industry including automotive<br />
history, safety practices, shop equipment <strong>and</strong> tools, vehicle<br />
subsystems, service publications, professional responsibilities,<br />
<strong>and</strong> basic automotive maintenance. May be taught manufacturer<br />
specific.<br />
AUMT 1307 Automotive Electrical Systems (2-4-3) An overview of<br />
automotive electrical systems including topics in operational theory,<br />
testing, diagnosis, <strong>and</strong> repair of, charging <strong>and</strong> starting systems, <strong>and</strong><br />
electrical accessories. Emphasis on electrical principles schematic<br />
diagrams, <strong>and</strong> service manuals. May be taught manufacturer specific.<br />
AUMT 1310 Automotive Brake Systems (2-4-3) Operation <strong>and</strong><br />
repair of drum/disc type brake systems. Topics include brake theory,<br />
diagnosis, <strong>and</strong> repair of power, manual, anti-lock brake systems,<br />
<strong>and</strong> parking brakes. May be taught with manufacturer specific<br />
instructions.<br />
AUMT 1312 Basic Automotive Service (2-4-3) Basic automotive<br />
service. Includes compliance with safety <strong>and</strong> hazardous material<br />
h<strong>and</strong>ling procedures <strong>and</strong> maintenance of shop equipment.<br />
AUMT 1345 Automotive Climate Control Systems (2-4-3) Diagnosis<br />
<strong>and</strong> repair of manual/electronic climate control systems. Includes<br />
the refrigeration cycle <strong>and</strong> EPA guidelines for refrigerant h<strong>and</strong>ling.<br />
May be taught manufacturer specific. Prerequisite AUMT 1201 or<br />

AUMT 1419 Automotive Engine Repair (2-6-4) Fundamentals of<br />
engine operation, diagnosis <strong>and</strong> repair. Emphasis on identification,<br />
inspection, measurements, <strong>and</strong> disassembly, repair, <strong>and</strong> reassembly<br />
of the engine. May be taught manufacturer specific. Prerequisite<br />
AUMT 1305<br />
AUMT 1471 Introduction <strong>and</strong> Theory of Tesla Vehicles (2-6-4) This<br />
course is intended to educate the entry -level technician to the<br />
Tesla Motors advanced automotive technology. Topics studied will<br />
include, but not limited to: safety when working with or around<br />
high voltage systems, basic electrical systems, basic vehicle service<br />
procedures, <strong>and</strong> applying soft skills used in the Tesla automotive<br />
field.<br />
AUMT 1472 Automotive Electrical, Chassis, Driver Assist Systems<br />
Theory (2-6-4) This course is intended to educate the entry -level<br />
technician to the Tesla Motors advanced automotive technology.<br />
