MCHN 2471 Specialized Equipment <strong>and</strong> Processes (2-6-4) An<br />

advanced course that incorporates conventional <strong>and</strong> computer<br />

numerical control equipment. Design <strong>and</strong> fabricate fixtures. Use<br />

metrology equipment <strong>and</strong> reverse engineering. Manufacture a<br />

project that shows proficiency in a variety of machining equipment<br />

<strong>and</strong> processes. Prerequisite MCHN 1438<br />

MDCA<br />

MDCA 1302 Human Disease/Pathophysiology (2-4-3) A study of<br />

anatomy <strong>and</strong> physiology with emphasis on human pathophysiology,<br />

including etiology, prognosis, medical treatment, signs <strong>and</strong><br />

symptoms of common diseases of all body systems.<br />

MDCA 1313 Medical Terminology (2-3-3) A study <strong>and</strong> practical<br />

application of a medical vocabulary system. Includes structure,<br />

recognition, analysis, definition, spelling, pronunciation, <strong>and</strong><br />

combination of medical terms from prefixes, suffixes, roots, <strong>and</strong><br />

combining forms.<br />

MECH 1370 Introduction to Mechatronics (2-4-3) Overview of<br />

mechatronics applications including controls, programming,<br />

electrical, <strong>and</strong> mechanical systems.<br />

MECH 1371 Industry Digital Devices (2-4-3) A course interfacing<br />

digital devices using logic circuits, metering equipment <strong>and</strong><br />

different numbering systems. Prerequisite CETT 1303<br />

MECH 1372 Basic Programmable Logic Controllers (2-4-3) Basic<br />

course in programmable control systems with emphasis on basic<br />

program techniques to include hardware identification, basic ladder<br />

programming <strong>and</strong> PLC communications. Prerequisite CETT 1305 OSA<br />

may be exempt from requisite. Consult with dept.<br />

MECH 1373 Motion Control (2-4-3) This course explores theoretical<br />

concepts in motor control. Emphasis in 3 phase across the line<br />

control, system design, protection control devices, wiring <strong>and</strong><br />

troubleshooting. In-depth coverage of power <strong>and</strong> control voltages.<br />

Prerequisite CETT 1305<br />

MECH 1471 Hydraulic <strong>and</strong> Pneumatic Systems (2-4-4) A course that<br />

focuses on Hydraulic <strong>and</strong> Pneumatic power technology to include<br />

valves, actuators, pumps, motors <strong>and</strong> gauges to communicate<br />

with control devices in order to operate the system using network<br />

devices.<br />

MECH 2370 Industrial Process Controls (2-4-3) Introduction to<br />

key concepts in automatic control <strong>and</strong> instrumentation of process<br />

plants. Applying industrial protocols (e.g. fieldbus, ethernet, modbus,<br />

profinet, profibus) to change controller parameters <strong>and</strong> read data<br />

from the controller. Use smart transmitters to relay instrumentation<br />

<strong>and</strong> final control elements performance status. Prerequisite CETT<br />

1305<br />

MECH 2372 Essentials to Advance PLC (2-4-3) Advanced<br />

applications of programmable logic controllers as used in industrial<br />

environments including concepts of networking, data collection, <strong>and</strong><br />

troubleshooting of PLCs. Prerequisite MECH 1372<br />

MECH 2373 Industry 4.0 Project (2-4-3) A course that provides<br />

students the opportunity to apply the knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills in<br />

Industry 4.0. A project will be constructed to include programmable<br />

logic controller, industrial control devices <strong>and</strong> production control.<br />

Prerequisite MECH 2472, MECH 1373<br />

MECH 2374 Robotics Communication (2-4-3) Principles of robotics<br />

to include hardware/software components, interfacing, programing<br />

<strong>and</strong> troubleshooting of the robotic system. Course instruct students<br />

to program a robot to perform automated task.<br />

MECH 2375 Production Control (2-4-3) This course defines the<br />

ability to apply technology in the principles <strong>and</strong> techniques in the<br />

design, planning, hardware <strong>and</strong> software of Industrial Production<br />

Control Systems. Prerequisite CETT 1305<br />

MECH 2378 Internship-Mechatronics Technology (0-0-3) A workbased<br />

learning experience that enables the student to apply<br />

specialized occupational theory, skills <strong>and</strong> concepts. A learning plan<br />

is developed by the college <strong>and</strong> the employer.<br />

MECH 2471 Industrial Control Devices (2-4-4) This course covers<br />

the principles of control devises used in industry. Topics include<br />

the design, development, <strong>and</strong> current applications of automated<br />

control devises systems including their configuration, operation, <strong>and</strong><br />

control. Upon completion students will be able to wire <strong>and</strong> program<br />

different control devises including PLC's <strong>and</strong> variable frequency<br />

drives, monitoring relays, protection relays <strong>and</strong> other devices locally<br />

at the device <strong>and</strong> through communications protocols. Prerequisite<br />

MECH 1373<br />

MECH 2472 Communication Protocols (2-4-4) An introductory<br />

course to communications protocols in order to address industrial<br />

needs for connecting devices as they apply to industry. Industrial<br />

<strong>and</strong> traditional communication working together with emerging<br />

technologies.<br />

MRKG<br />

MRKG 1301 Customer Relationship Management (2-2-3) General<br />

principles of customer relationship management including skills,<br />

knowledge, attitudes, <strong>and</strong> behaviors.<br />

MRKG 2349 Advertising <strong>and</strong> Sales Promotion (3-0-3) Integrated<br />

marketing communications. Includes advertising principles <strong>and</strong><br />

practices. Emphasizes multi-media of persuasive communication<br />

including buyer behavior, budgeting, <strong>and</strong> regulatory constraints.<br />
