NCCER Maritime Welding Level 1<br />

The National Center for Construction Education & Research<br />

(NCCER) Maritime Welding Level 1 curriculum is a 275 instructionhour<br />

program that is the first course in a series of three courses<br />

that comprises the NCCER Maritime Welding curriculum. It is a<br />

basic introduction to the welding trade made up of 21 modules<br />

consisting of specific learning objectives <strong>and</strong> performance tasks<br />

<strong>and</strong> includes a 9 module Core Curriculum which is a prerequisite<br />

for all NCCER craft training. Completing this curriculum gives the<br />

trainee the basic entry-level skills needed for employment <strong>and</strong> to<br />

continue their education in the welding trade with an introduction<br />

to the maritime industry.<br />

NCCER Maritime Welding Level 1<br />

The NCCER Maritime Welding program is available at the Harlingen<br />

campus.<br />
