RBTC 1309 Pneumatics (2-4-3) A study of principles of pneumatics,<br />
including formulas, functions, <strong>and</strong> circuits with h<strong>and</strong>s-on experience<br />
in these industrial automated systems. Prerequisite HYDR 1305<br />
RBTC 1341 Vision Systems (2-4-3) An overview of machine vision<br />
systems, including terminology <strong>and</strong> components. Topics include<br />
optics, sensors, lighting, image analysis, <strong>and</strong> user interfaces.<br />
Prerequisite RBTC 2339<br />
RBTC 1343 Robotics (2-4-3) Principles <strong>and</strong> applications of robots.<br />
Includes installation, interfacing, programming, maintenance, <strong>and</strong><br />
safety of robots <strong>and</strong> robotic cells. Prerequisite CETT 1303 or IEIR<br />
1302 (Prerequisite or Corequisite)<br />
RBTC 1345 Robot Interfacing (2-4-3) A study of the basic principles<br />
of robot controllers, controller input/output, memory, <strong>and</strong> interfacing<br />
with computer integrated manufacturing. Prerequisite RBTC 2339,<br />

RBTC 1347 Electro-Mechanical Devices (2-4-3) A study of electromechanical<br />
devices found in robotic systems. Includes transformers,<br />
switches, <strong>and</strong> solid state relays. Prerequisite RBTC 1343<br />
RBTC 1355 Sensors (2-4-3) Study of basic principles of industrial<br />
sensors for automated systems. Emphasis on the operation <strong>and</strong><br />
application of position, rate, proximity, opto-electronics, ranging,<br />
<strong>and</strong> pressure switches. Prerequisite RBTC 2339, RBTC 1347<br />
RBTC 1371 Industrial Motors <strong>and</strong> Drives (2-4-3) Choosing,<br />
installation <strong>and</strong> troubleshooting of 3-phase motors <strong>and</strong> variable<br />
speed drives ,with emphasis on wiring <strong>and</strong> controls of industrial<br />
motors. Prerequisite RBTC 1301, ELPT 1341<br />
RBTC 2335 Numerical Controlled/Computer Numerical Control<br />
Programming (2-4-3) A study of the principles <strong>and</strong> concepts of<br />
numerical control through computer applications, specifically in<br />
the area of programming for the control of machine tools in CIM.<br />
Prerequisite RBTC 1345, RBTC 1355<br />
RBTC 2339 Robot Programming <strong>and</strong> Diagnostics (2-4-3) Emphasis<br />
on the programming of industrial robots, the development of<br />
programming techniques, <strong>and</strong> the diagnosis of faults in systems.<br />

RBTC 2345 Robot Application, Set-up, <strong>and</strong> Testing (2-4-3) A<br />
capstone course that provides the student with laboratory<br />
experience in the installation, set-up, <strong>and</strong> testing of robotic cells.<br />
Topics include maintenance. Prerequisite RBTC 1345, RBTC 1355<br />
RBTC 2347 Computer Integrated Manufacturing (2-4-3) The<br />
principles of computer integrated manufacturing, including case<br />
studies <strong>and</strong> implementation of process control techniques, CAD/<br />
CAM, operations, software, <strong>and</strong> networking for CIM systems.<br />

RBTC 2375 Human Machine Interface Programming <strong>and</strong> Interfacing<br />
(2-4-3) An overview of Human Machine Interface (HMI) devices <strong>and</strong><br />
their use in industrial automation. Programming HMIs for use with<br />
automated systems. Prerequisite RBTC 1345, RBTC 1301<br />

RNSG 1210 Introduction to Community-Based Nursing (2-0-2)<br />
Overview of the delivery of nursing care in a variety of communitybased<br />
settings to promote health; application of systematic<br />
problem-solving processes <strong>and</strong> critical thinking skills, focusing on<br />
the examination of concepts <strong>and</strong> theories relevant to communitybased<br />
nursing; <strong>and</strong> development of judgment, skill, <strong>and</strong> professional<br />
values within a legal/ethical framework.<br />
RNSG 1<strong>22</strong>7 Transition to Professional Nursing (1-3-2) Content<br />
includes health promotion, exp<strong>and</strong>ed assessment, analysis of data,<br />
critical thinking skills <strong>and</strong> systematic problem solving process,<br />
pharmacology, interdisciplinary teamwork, communication, <strong>and</strong><br />
applicable competencies in knowledge, judgment, skills, <strong>and</strong><br />

RNSG 1261 Clinical - Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse (0-0-<br />
2) A health-related work-based learning experience that enables<br />
the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, <strong>and</strong><br />
concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional.<br />
RNSG 1300 Health Assessment Across the Lifespan (2-2-3)<br />
Development of skills <strong>and</strong> techniques required for a comprehensive<br />
nursing health assessment of patients across the lifespan. Includes<br />
assessment of patients' health promotion <strong>and</strong> maintenance, illness<br />
<strong>and</strong> injury prevention <strong>and</strong> restoration, <strong>and</strong> application of the nursing<br />
process within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to<br />
either a blocked or integrated approach.<br />
RNSG 1301 Pharmacology (2-2-3) Introduction to the science<br />
of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions,<br />
adverse effects, <strong>and</strong> nursing implications of drug classifications.<br />
Content includes the roles <strong>and</strong> responsibilities of the nurse in safe<br />
administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework. This<br />
course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach.<br />
RNSG 1343 Complex Concepts of Adult Health (2-2-3) Integration<br />
of previous knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills related to common adult health<br />
needs into the continued development of the professional nurse<br />
as a provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate,<br />
member of health care team, <strong>and</strong> member of the profession in the<br />
care of adult patients <strong>and</strong> families with complex medical-surgical<br />
health care needs associated with body systems. Emphasis on<br />
complex knowledge, judgments, skills, <strong>and</strong> professional values<br />
within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a<br />
blocked approach.<br />
RNSG 1412 Nursing Care of the Childbearing <strong>and</strong> Childrearing<br />
Family (3-2-4) Study of the concepts related to the provision of<br />
nursing care for childbearing <strong>and</strong> childrearing families. Application<br />
of systematic problem-solving processes <strong>and</strong> critical thinking skills,<br />
including a focus on the childbearing family during the perinatal<br />
periods <strong>and</strong> the childrearing family from birth to adolescence;<br />
<strong>and</strong> competency in knowledge, judgment, skill, <strong>and</strong> professional<br />
