du début du xvi e siècle, Andrea d’Agnolo di<br />
Francesco di <strong>Luc</strong>a di Paolo <strong>de</strong>l Migliore Vannucchi,<br />
dit Andrea <strong>de</strong>l Sarto aurait, sel<strong>on</strong> le biographe<br />
Giorgio Vasari, effectué un premier apprentissage à<br />
l’âge <strong>de</strong> sept ans dans un atelier d’orfèvrerie avant<br />
d’entrer chez un peintre et sculpteur <str<strong>on</strong>g>sur</str<strong>on</strong>g> bois, probablement<br />
Andrea di Salvi Barile. Enfin, il aurait<br />
rejoint l’atelier <strong>de</strong> Piero di Cosimo ou celui <strong>de</strong><br />
Raffaellino <strong>de</strong>l Garbo, peut-être les <strong>de</strong>ux. Peintre<br />
indépendant vers 1506, il est inscrit aux registres<br />
<strong>de</strong> l‘Arte <strong>de</strong>i Medici e Speziali en 1508. Sa carrière<br />
commence avec l’ouverture d’un atelier, c<strong>on</strong>join-<br />

Migliore Vannucchi, called Andrea <strong>de</strong>l Sarto is <strong>on</strong>e<br />
of the most influential Florentine artists of the early<br />
16 th century.<br />
According to Giorgio Vasari, he was initially<br />
apprenticed at the age of seven to a goldsmith’s<br />
workshop after which he joined the studio of a<br />
painter and wood sculptor, probably Andrea di<br />
Salvi Barile. Finally, he entered the workshop of<br />
Piero di Cosimo or that of Raffellino <strong>de</strong>l Garbo,<br />
perhaps even both. Sarto became an in<strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong>nt<br />
painter around 1506 and his name appears in the<br />
