with a central rib defined by deeply cut grooves. <strong>The</strong> rib<br />

projects beyond the leaf as a petiole. <strong>The</strong> upper surface has<br />

been slightly abraded, but rasp marks can still be seen<br />

within the indentations and on each lobe. <strong>The</strong> underside has<br />

been rasped. <strong>The</strong> tip is damaged. Length 78.0 mm,<br />

maximum width 30.0mm (ibid, fig 1, 3).<br />

4362 Fig 189 SF BUC 619, C1248 L4. Modern. A similar leaf, but<br />

much larger, with no central rib or petiole, and abandoned at<br />

the rasping stage. One side is damaged near the tip.<br />

Cancellous tissue shows on the upper surface near the<br />

missing part. Length 101.0mm, maximum width 37.0mm.<br />

an oak-type leaf with midrib designed to lie along a straight<br />

edge. <strong>The</strong> upper surface has been abraded and polished,<br />

though a few deep rasp marks can still be seen. <strong>The</strong><br />

underside has been rasped. <strong>The</strong> tip has been damaged
