1896 SF LWC 654(C), A F68. Tessellated pavement. Period 4b. In two<br />

fragments, bent. Length approximately 83.0 mm. Flat scoop. diameter<br />

6.0 mm.<br />

1902 SF BKC 2750(C), H7 L2. Topsoil. Post-<strong>Roman</strong>. <strong>The</strong> top of the shaft is<br />

missing. Length 50.5 mm. Flat scoop, diameter 4.0 mm.<br />

1903 SF BKC 2963. J22 L1. Site clearance. <strong>The</strong> top of the shaft is missing<br />

and the scoop is damaged. Length 34.0 mm. Flat scoop, diameter 5.0 mm.<br />

1904 SF BKC 3255(C), J175. Modern? <strong>The</strong> top of the shaft is missing. Bent.<br />

Length 97.0 mm. Flat scoop. diameter 7.0 mm.<br />

1905 SF BKC 3415(C), J176 F32. Pit. Period 5c/6. White-metal copper alloy<br />

(?speculum), <strong>The</strong> top of the shaft is missing. Length 60.0 mm. Flat<br />

scoop. diameter 6.5 mm.<br />

1906 SF BKC. 3260(C), J178 F39. Pit. Period 5c/6. Bent. Length 126.0 mm.<br />

Flat scoop. diameter 4.5 mm.<br />

1908 SF BKC 3770. K567 L58. Gravel surface. Period 4c (or 5?), <strong>The</strong> top of<br />

the shaft is missing. Length 38.5 mm. <strong>The</strong> scoop has a convex underside<br />

and flat top. diameter 3.5 mm. <strong>The</strong>re are four fine grooves incised<br />

round the shaft. a group of three and a single one immediately below<br />

the fracture.<br />

1909 SF BKC 4054. N48 F13. Pit. Period 6+. <strong>The</strong> very tip only of the shaft<br />

is missing. Bent. Length 70.0 mm. Flat scoop. diameter 4.5 mm.<br />
