All are of copper alloy (Fig 143; 4165-4172),<br />

4167 SF BKC 1848. E1148 F166. Pipe trench. Period 4. Fragment of a bell<br />

with part of a suspension loop.<br />

4169 SF BKC 5452(C), V784 L97? Period 2 (or 3?), A conical bell with<br />

suspension loop. similar to Fig 143. 4168. <strong>The</strong> body is damaged. Three<br />

lugs survive round the base. Height 27.5 mm. diameter 27.0 mm.<br />

4170 SF MID 705. A2826 L366. Demolition or make-up. Period 2b or 3a.<br />

Possibly a slightly crushed bell with conical top and straight-sided rim.<br />

Round part of the top there is some irregular slashed decoration. <strong>The</strong>re<br />

is a fragment of iron fixed in the top. perhaps the remains of a clapper.<br />

Height 18.0 mm. diameter 29.5 mm.<br />

4171 SF BUC 468. C165 G247. Grave fill. Period 2. A <strong>small</strong> conical bell with<br />

suspension loop. Height 15.5 mm. diameter 14.5 mm.<br />

4172 SF BUC 524. C1001 Ll. Topsoil. Periods 1-2. Possibly a corroded bell.<br />

Height 15.0 mm. diameter 20.5 mm.
