the distinction between the deterritorialization levels of classes in Brazil. Internet, and itspopularization, takes part in such scenario through its multiple ways of interaction and widerange of cultural representations options; however it does not impede the link between Brazilianelite and European pop culture to occur for (1) its elitist prerequisites, as a computer and a broadband connection; (2) in being an interactive medium, Internet requires from its user a previousacquaintance about, or preference towards, the content to be consumed as well as (3) somewhatrequires a foreign language previous knowledge, trait that is also regarded as belonging to theelites in Brazil.Nevertheless, the exact way in which cultural representations‟ consumption provided by differenttypes of media interact with social status in Brazil through the deterritorialization process ofmedia users (as well as which types of TV attractions, music style and subcultures are seen asmore preeminent over others) are yet to be researched.Literature Review-Almeida, Alberto Carlos (2007).
