Internet, and itspopularization, takes part in such scenario through its multiple ways <strong>of</strong> interaction and widerange <strong>of</strong> cultural representations options; however it does not impede the link between Brazilianelite and European pop culture to occur for (1) its elitist prerequisites, as a computer and a broadband connection; (2) in being an interactive medium, Internet requires from its user a previousacquaintance about, or preference towards, the content to be consumed as well as (3) somewhatrequires a foreign language previous knowledge, trait that is also regarded as belonging to theelites in Brazil.Nevertheless, the exact way in which cultural representations‟ consumption provided by differenttypes <strong>of</strong> media interact with social status in Brazil through the deterritorialization process <strong>of</strong>media users (as well as which types <strong>of</strong> TV attractions, music style and subcultures are seen asmore preeminent over others) are yet to be researched.Literature Review-Almeida, Alberto Carlos (2007).
