La collezione Axor Bouroullec, sviluppata per Axor dai designer
francesi Ronan e Erwan Bouroullec, è un vero e proprio
sistema modulare per l’ambiente bagno, un progetto ambizioso
e articolato declinato in un ampia gamma di elementi.
Proprio questa “libertà di creare” (concept della collezione)
è la caratteristica principale della
linea, come sottolinea Philippe Grohe,
responsabile del marchio design Axor,
al quale abbiamo chiesto di mettere
in luce proprio il principio che sta alla
base di Axor Bouroullec: “Chi non
vorrebbe un bagno disegnato interamente
secondo le proprie preferenze?
La nuova collezione Axor Bouroullec è
stata concepita proprio per questo crescente
bisogno di ‘design individuale’
e permetterà a progettisti e utenti di disegnare
un ambiente bagno su misura
in base allo spazio, allo stile abitativo,
alle esigenze funzionali ed estetiche
di ognuno”. Grohe, che da anni segue
lo sviluppo dei progetti Axor, aggiunge:
“E poi perché dobbiamo sempre
posizionare il miscelatore sul bordo
posteriore del lavabo in modo perfettamente centrale?”.
Axor Bouroullec, permette infatti un grado di personalizzazione
dell’ambiente bagno decisamente innovativo e al
momento inarrivabile: perfino il lavabo e la vasca cambiano
forma, funzione e dimensione a seconda delle speciali
aggiunte/mensole con cui possono essere combinati. La soluzione
del miscelatore inserito all’interno di una mensola è,
ad esempio, un’idea originale e particolarmente intelligente

al FuoriSalone 2005,
quando Hansgrohe li
aveva chiamati a immaginare
il rapporto ideale fra
uomo e acqua nel futuro
dando vita ad un’installazione
dal titolo “Axor
Waterdream”.

The Axor Bouroullec collection developed for Axor by French
designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec is a real modular
system for the bathroom, an ambitious and articulated project
that declines into a wide range of elements. And it is this “freedom
to create” (the collection’s concept) that is the line’s main
characteristic, as explained by the Axor
Brand Manager Philippe Grohe, whom
we asked to explain the underlying principle
for Axor Bouroullec. “Who doesn’t
want a bathroom designed entirely
according to their preferences? The new
Axor Bouroullec collection was created
precisely for the growing need for ‘individual
design’ and gives designers and
users the possibility to create a customised
bathroom setting according to the
space available, individual living style
and functional and aesthetic demands”.
Grohe, who has been following the
development of Axor projects for years,
adds: “Why do we have to position the
mixer tap on the rear of a washbasin
right in the middle?”.
Axor Bouroullec in fact makes it possible
to customise the bathroom in a decisively innovative
way that up until now has been unattainable. Even the
washbasin and the bathtub change shape, function and
size according to the special additions or shelves they can be
combined with. The solution of the mixer tap inserted inside
a shelf for example is an original and particularly intelligent
