testimoniano appieno”. Gli studenti hanno raccolto la sfida,
dedicandosi a progetti molto interessanti, che rivelano
uno sguardo curioso, trasversale, fuori dagli schemi come
osserva Laura Negrini, direttore IED Design Roma: “Il
design interpreta il proprio tempo e ne forza i confini. A
Roma IED Design riflette sulla trasformazione
del prodotto in funzione
di una forza collettiva quotidiana
che rinnova le necessità dell’uso e
scardina la percezione tradizionale
dello spazio: un approccio estremamente
prolifico soprattutto se tenuto
costantemente vicino alle esigenze
delle aziende, risorse importanti del
nostro territorio. Ceramica Flaminia,
con la direzione artistica di Giulio
Cappellini ha raccolto quest’anno la
sfida di un’esplorazione delle nuove
culture, dei nuovi stili di vita e della
valorizzazione della dimensione
relazionale. Tale ricerca si sviluppa
proprio a partire dall’ambiente che
rappresenta per definizione il regno
della privacy: il bagno”. Marika
Aakesson, coordinatore dei Corsi in
Product Design IED Roma, riflette
invece sulla forza del progetto e
sulla natura del coinvolgimento dei
ragazzi. “L’entusiasmo e l’impegno,
con cui gli studenti hanno affrontato
il progetto per Ceramica Flaminia,
raccontano quanto sia importante
per loro venire in contatto con il
mondo lavorativo reale durante il percorso formativo. Oltre
alla preziosa collaborazione con Giulio Cappellini e Ceramica
Flaminia, gli studenti sono stati fortunati ad avere come
docenti due professionisti del settore: Silvana Angeletti e
Daniele Ruzza. Il loro apporto è stato sicuramente molto
importante nello sviluppo progettuale. Hanno guidato gli
studenti non solo nella parte tecnica ma anche nella memoria
dell’oggetto. I progetti selezionati raccontano, infatti, di
storie particolari e di una cultura che sta cambiando”.
IED Roma shows how, if it is well managed, the relationship
between school and industry can generate excellent results,
making it possible for students to explore the heart of industrial
and production processes. The students are therefore not
merely spectators but an active part in the development of
products and the image of a company. The flattering results
achieved through collaboration are a clear vindication of this”.
The students have taken up the challenge, dedicating their
energies to very interesting projects that demonstrate their
curiosity, their ability to think transversally, out of the box,
as noted by Laura Negrini, Director of IED Design Roma:
“Design interprets its own time and
pushes the boundaries. At Rome IED
Design explores product transformation
relative to a daily collective force
that renews the need to use a product
and transcends the traditional perception
of space: an extremely profitable
approach, especially if kept constantly
close to the needs of companies,
important resources in our territory.
Ceramica Flaminia, with the artistic
direction of Giulio Cappellini, has this
year taken up the challenge of exploring
new cultures, new lifestyles and
the valorisation of a more relational
dimension. Research that is developed
starting with the environment, which
represents, by definition, that kingdom
of privacy: the bathroom”.
Marika Aakesson, coordinator of
Courses in Product Design IED Roma,
on the other hand, reflects on the force
of the project and the nature of the
youngsters’ involvement. “The enthusiasm
and commitment with which
students have tackled the project
for Ceramica Flaminia indicate how
important it is for them to come into
contact with the real working world during their education. In
addition to the vital collaboration with Giulio Cappellini and
Ceramica Flaminia, the students have been lucky in having
as lecturers two professionals in the sector: Silvana Angeletti
and Daniele Ruzza. Their contribution has certainly been
very important in the project’s development. They have guided
the students not only in the technical aspects but also their
memory of the object. The designs that have been selected
exemplify particular histories and a culture that is changing”.
