We also use object-based 3D modelling
of architecture. This provides a modular
and parametric model in order to control
different variables in the research
scenarios.
The modelling process depends on the
final application on research. For this,
we use different CAD software and different
workflows which focus in the final
output.
• Special attention is payed to the
model scale and level of detail.
• Computer efficiency is one of the
main benefits of this technique.
• The modular nature of these models
provide variability in the material
properties such as absorbent coefficients
or lighting reflections.
• Every scenario implies a different
size of environment.
• Capturing the scene requires a detailed
plan and calibration of the
input data.
• Building point clouds and the final
3D objects meshes needs careful
attention to the final running platform.
