Gesicherte Erkennung einer
Positionsmanipulation bei Drohnen
/ Secured Detection of a Position
Manipulation with Drones
Spoofing-Attacken getestet.
Aufgaben des Fraunhofer IML innerhalb des Projektes waren
neben der Gesamtprojektleitung der Drohnenbau sowie die
Drohnensteuerung, die Mitarbeit bei der technischen und
nutzerbezogenen Anforderungsabstimmung, die Identifikation
und Evaluierung der Flugszenarien und Anwendungsbereiche
sowie das Stakeholder Management und die Demonstrationsplanung.
Neben dem Fraunhofer IML war das Fraunhofer-Institut
für Integrierte Schaltungen IIS in Nürnberg am Projekt »AABD«
beteiligt. Das Vorhaben wurde im Rahmen des Fraunhofer Cluster
of Excellence Cognitive Internet Technologies (CCIT) realisiert und
gefördert.
/ The research project called “Abgesicherte, autonome BOS-
Drohnen” (AABD) – which means “secured, autonomous
drones for the emergency and security services” – involves
developing drone prototypes specifically for use by officially
authorized users and by the emergency and security services
(German abbreviation: BOS) in the context of operations. To
prevent any manipulation of their position, the drones are
protected using specially encrypted satellite signals.
The primary aims of the “AABD” project were to detect any
manipulation of the drones’ positions, which included sending
a warning to the pilot and then performing an automated
emergency landing.
The complete “AABD” system was tested at the end of the
project in October 2021 as part of a workshop attended by
BOS users and other representatives from the industry. During
this test, live demonstrations were carried out under real-life
spoofing attack conditions.
Within the context of the project, Fraunhofer IML was not only
put in overall charge of managing drone construction but was
also tasked with controlling the drones, helping to coordinate
the technical and user-related requirements, identifying and
evaluating the flight scenarios and application areas, managing
the stakeholders and planning the demonstrations.
Alongside Fraunhofer IML, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated
Circuits IIS in Nuremberg was also involved in the
“AABD” project, which was implemented and funded under
the auspices of the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Cognitive
Internet Technologies (CCIT).
