Zukunftskongress Logistik –
39. Dortmunder Gespräche
/ Future Logistics Congress –
39th Dortmund Talks
kostenlos statt.
Themen AGV-basierte Kommissionierung, Gamification, Blockchain-Start-ups,
Künstliche Intelligenz in der Logistik, multimodale
Transportketten und nachhaltige Logistikstandorte.
/ Under the theme “Never walk alone: Working together to
harness AI, 5G and blockchain using open source and open
innovation,” over 850 participants took part in the “Future
Logistics Congress – 39th Dortmund Talks” on September
14–16, 2021. Speakers from science, industry and politics
discussed the opportunities offered by joint innovation in a
digital platform economy. The congress, organized by Fraunhofer
IML and Digital Hub Logistics, was held in a digital format
for the second year in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic
and was free of charge for all participants.
In his opening speech on the first day of the Congress, Prof.
Michael ten Hompel, Executive Director of Fraunhofer IML,
explained how open source and open innovation can be used
to realize the potential of technologies such as artificial intelligence,
5G and blockchain. Following a welcome address from
Andreas Scheuer, German Federal Minister of Transport and
Digital Infrastructure, and a keynote speech from Dr. Reinhold
Achatz, former board member at thyssenkrupp, a podium
discussion on “Digitalization – overcoming joint challenges
together” took place. In the afternoon, the speakers presented
new insights on sustainability in logistics and blockchain technology.
The winners of the Digital Logistics Awards 2021 were
also selected on the first day of the Congress.
In the topic-specific sequences of the Fraunhofer symposium,
the second and third days were dedicated to the topics of
AGV-based order picking, gamification, blockchain start-ups,
artificial intelligence in logistics, multimodal transport chains
and sustainable logistics sites.
