The panel layouts shown on this and the following pages will aid<br />
in determining the space available for the addition of <strong>molded</strong><br />
<strong>case</strong> <strong>circuit</strong> <strong>breakers</strong> and fusible switches into your Cutler-Hammer<br />
panelboards.<br />
● Determine the amount of space available in the panelboard for<br />
adding <strong>circuit</strong> <strong>breakers</strong>.<br />
● 1-3/8 inches of panel height = one X space<br />
● Determine the type of breaker needed for the required ampere<br />
rating and number of poles.<br />
● Panel layouts shown aids in determining the space available for<br />
adding <strong>breakers</strong> to PRL4B panels or fusible switches for PRL4F<br />
panelboards. First determine the available space for additions.<br />
Determine height of new device per layout. Order breaker<br />
hardware from RPD 31-490. Complete breaker retrofit kits<br />
are available which include breaker, connectors and hardware<br />
from the Sumter Aftermarket Center. (1-800-556-4569)<br />
