SLIDE PLATE TYPE<br />

Vertical Mounting<br />

These compact Westinghouse slide plate<br />

handle mechanisms are especially designed<br />

for use with AB De-ion <strong>circuit</strong> <strong>breakers</strong><br />

and disconnect switches when they are<br />

mounted in a shallow enclosure. They are<br />

suitable for use on NEMA 1 applications.<br />

Because of the mechanisms’ simplified<br />

installation – three mounting holes – and<br />

preassembled construction, these units are<br />

commonly used where high volume, standardized<br />

enclosures are being fabricated.<br />

The mechanism styles listed on this page<br />

are for use on enclosures which have covers<br />

hinged on the right side. If these mechanisms<br />

are used on enclosures which<br />

have covers hinged on the left side, the<br />

door interlock will not function.<br />

Location Type<br />

This handle mechanism is designed for<br />

use with fabricated or cast, NEMA 3, 4 or 5<br />

enclosures. A butterfly cam type mechanism<br />

may be used on enclosures with<br />

either right or left hand hinged covers or<br />

on enclosures with bolted covers. The<br />

mechanism has a provision for padlocking.<br />

Will accept up to three locks. Assembly<br />

of this mechanism is accomplished by<br />

welding it to the enclosure door or cover.<br />

PC and RD, refer to Drawing 372D690.<br />
