and procedure changes through Provider
Bulletins. The Provider Bulletins are
contractually binding. Portions of this
manual will also be updated periodically to
reflect policy and procedure changes.
Provider Press The goal of this publication is to make your
job easier and to improve our service to you.
The categories that are featured in the
Provider Press include claims tips,
PMAP/MinnesotaCare, Coding Corner and a
featured front page article.

Changes to Medical Policy impacting
payment are communicated through Provider
Bulletins. Blue Cross also includes updates in
the Provider Press on a quarterly basis. The
updates contain a summary of medical
technologies that have been reviewed,
revised, or are new to Blue Cross’
investigative list. Prior authorization request
requirements are also featured in this
publication.

Blue Plus Manual The Blue Plus Manual is published for our
Blue Plus primary care providers. It includes
information about the Blue Plus business,
referrals, contacts, quality improvement, and
government programs.
