Provider Networks There are two behavioral health provider networks: the Select
Behavioral Health Network and the Aware network.
Most Blue Plus patients are required to utilize a Select provider for
their highest level of benefits. Many but not all members have selfreferral
benefits that are applied when services are obtained in the
Aware network. To find a participating Select network provider,
members are encouraged to call Blue Cross so that a provider best
suited to meet their treatment needs can be found in a convenient
location.
The majority of fee-for-service members have direct access to an
Aware network practitioner.
Fully insured groups have the Select Behavioral Health Network.
Some self-insured groups have the Select Behavioral Health
Network while other self-insured groups may choose the Aware
Network. Individual accounts use the Aware Network.
