The Trust maintains a status of registered without conditions with the Care
Quality Commission. The Care Quality Commission has not taken
enforcement action against 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
during 2011/12.
The Head of Internal Audit Opinion is that:
Significant assurance can be given that there is generally a sound System of
Internal Control on key financial and management processes. These are
designed to meet the Trust’s objectives and ensure controls are
generally being applied consistently.
10. Conclusion
My review confirms that 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has a
generally sound System of Internal Control that supports the achievement of
its policies, aims and objectives. I have been advised on the implications of
the result of my review of the effectiveness of the System of Internal Control
by the Executive Directors, the Committees and the Audit Committee. No
significant control issues have been identified.
