There is some evidence (limited <strong>to</strong> <strong>to</strong>p box office titles) that different<br />

films appeal more strongly <strong>in</strong> some UK nations/regions than others. In<br />

2006, eight titles had unusually high audience shares <strong>in</strong> particular<br />

regions. The His<strong>to</strong>ry Boys , Mission Impossible 3 and X- Men 3 were<br />

popular <strong>in</strong> London; Alien Au<strong>to</strong>psy and V for Vendetta attracted<br />

audiences <strong>in</strong> the South/South East, Happy Feet <strong>in</strong> South West/Wales,<br />

Night at the Museum <strong>in</strong> Tyne Tees/Yorkshire and The Break up and<br />

Happy Feet <strong>in</strong> Scotland (UK <strong>Film</strong> Council Statistical Yearbook 2006-7).<br />
