18.1. Salamanders<br />
Salamanders are magical lizards from the elemental dimensions of Fire<br />
and Ice, though they sometimes slip through the cracks and end up on our<br />
world.<br />
18.1.1. Fire Salamander<br />
• Attributes: Agility d8, Smarts d8 (A), Spirit d8, Strength d12+1, Vigor<br />
d10<br />
• Skills: Fighting d8, Guts d10, Intimidation d10, Notice d8<br />
• Pace: 8; Parry: 6; Toughness: 11 (2)<br />
• Special Abilities:<br />
– Armor +2: Tough scales.<br />
– Bite/Claw: Str+d6<br />
– Body Heat: Fire salamanders emit a tremendous amount of heat.<br />
Anyone coming within 3” must begin making Vigor rolls each<br />
round or become Fatigued (see SW:EX page 105).<br />
– Fleet Footed: They have Pace 8 and roll a d10 for running.<br />
– Immunity: They are immune to all fire and heat based attacks<br />
and effects.<br />
– Size +2<br />
– Weakness (Cold): Fire salamanders are vulnerable to cold attacks,<br />
taking +4 damage from them. In temperatures under 20°C<br />
(70°F), they suffer the effects of extreme cold (see SW:EX page<br />
103).<br />
