+0 whole. While engulfed, the target is grappled as per the core<br />

rulebook with a –4 penalty to Strength rolls to escape and suffers<br />

2d6 damage per round from digestive juices. Armor offers no<br />

protection.<br />

10.9. Griffon<br />

Creatures of mythology, griffons have the head, claws, and wings of an<br />

eagle and the body and hindquarters of a lion. Some brave souls capture<br />

and tame them to use as mounts.<br />

d8<br />

• Skills: Fighting d8, Guts d10, Intimidation d8, Notice d8<br />

• Special Abilities:<br />

– Armor +1: Thick hide. Ď Claws/Beak: Str+d6<br />

– Favored Prey: Griffons love to feast on horse flesh. Wild griffons<br />

will attack horses on sight. Those using a griffon as a mount must<br />

make an opposed Spirit check against the griffon to prevent it<br />

from attacking a horse.<br />

– Flight: Griffons have a Flying Pace of 16”, with an Acceleration<br />

of 8”.<br />
