GLOSSARY<br />

SITE PLAN: A plan prepared to scale showing accurately and with complete dimensioning,<br />

the boundaries <strong>of</strong> a site and the locations <strong>of</strong> all buildings, structures, circulation,<br />

landscaping and open space areas.<br />

SPECIFIED ANATOMICAL AREAS:<br />

1. Less than completely and opaquely covered: Human genitals, pubic region,<br />

buttocks, and female breast below a point immediately above the top <strong>of</strong> the<br />

areola; and<br />

2. Human male genitals in a discernibly turgid state, even if completely and<br />

opaquely covered.<br />

SPECIFIED SEXUAL ACTNITIES: To the extent that such acts are not already<br />

prohibited by Title 13 Chapter 15 <strong>of</strong> the Arizona Revised statutes or to the extent that the<br />

depictions <strong>of</strong> such acts are not obscene or do nor isolate the provisions <strong>of</strong> Title 13, Chapter 35<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Arizona Revised Statutes, specific sexual activities shall mean any <strong>of</strong> the following:<br />

1. Human genitals in a state <strong>of</strong> or simulating sexual stimulation or arousal;<br />

2. Actual or simulated acts <strong>of</strong> human masturbation, sexual intercourse, oral<br />

copulation, sodomy or bestiality; and<br />

3. Fondling or other erotic touching <strong>of</strong> human genitals, pubic region, buttocks, anus<br />

or female breast;<br />

4. Excretory functions as a part <strong>of</strong> or in connection with any <strong>of</strong> the activities set<br />

forth in subdivisions (1), (2). or (3) <strong>of</strong> this definition.<br />

STABLE, COMMERCIAL: A stable for horses, mules, or ponies which are let, hired, used<br />

or boarded on a commercial basis and for compensation. This facility may <strong>of</strong>fer equestrian<br />

lessons and may include a show arena and viewing stands.<br />

STABLE, PRIVATE: A detached accessory building for the keeping <strong>of</strong> horses, mules, or<br />

ponies owned by the occupants <strong>of</strong> the premises and not kept for remuneration, hire or sale.<br />

STORY: That portion <strong>of</strong> a building included between the surface <strong>of</strong> any floor and the surface <strong>of</strong> the next<br />

floor above it, or if there is no floor above it, then the space between the floor and the ceiling next<br />

above it. A basement, the ceiling <strong>of</strong> which is less than four (4) feet six (6) inches above the natural<br />

grade, shall not be considered a story. A mezzanine floor shall not be considered a story if it is less<br />

than thirty-three and one-third (33 1 13) percent <strong>of</strong> the area <strong>of</strong> the floor next below it in a nonresidential<br />

structure. A mezzanine shall be considered a story when located in a residential<br />

structure.<br />

STREET: Road, highway, drive, lane, avenue, boulevard easement for access, right-<strong>of</strong>way,<br />

parking or any other way whether public or private, which affords the principal means<br />

<strong>of</strong> access to abutting property.<br />

1. ARTERIAL, MAJOR OR MINOR: A general term designating streets in the<br />

community which are designed to carry substantial volumes <strong>of</strong> traffic. Such street<br />
