included limited to a single business logo and occupying no more than twenty- five (25)<br />

percent <strong>of</strong> the sign area. Such signs shall be located within the industrial complex and<br />

shall not be placed in the required perimeter landscape setback<br />

3.82 Temporary signs:<br />

The following temporary signs are allowed subject to the issuance <strong>of</strong> a sign permit:<br />

J~ Initial Display <strong>of</strong> Banners and Non-Rigid Signs: Non-Rigid signs, banners, displays and<br />

advertising flags, shall be permitted on a one-time bases during the first year <strong>of</strong> operation <strong>of</strong> a<br />

business, for a period not to exceed ninety (90) consecutive calendar days and commencing<br />

not earlier than thirty (30) days prior to the first day <strong>of</strong> operation <strong>of</strong> the business. Such signs,<br />

banners, displays and flags shall not exceed it sign area, in the aggregate at anyone time, up to<br />

thirty-two (32) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area for the first five thousand (5,000) square feet <strong>of</strong><br />

building; eighty (80) square feet in area, for occupancies greater than 5000 square feet up to<br />

20,000 square feet; one hundred and-twenty (120) square feet, for occupancies greater than<br />

20,000, up to 60,000 square feet, with a maximum <strong>of</strong> one hundred-and-sixty square feet (160)<br />

<strong>of</strong> sign area, for occupancies greater than 60,000 square feet. Such signs shall be placed<br />

upon the exterior building wall <strong>of</strong> the suite to which the signs are appurtenant<br />

B. Periodic Display <strong>of</strong> Banners and Non-Rigid Signs: Non-rigid signs, banners, displays<br />

and advertising flags are permitted to be displayed for a period not to exceed thirty (30)<br />

consecutive calendar days per calendar quarter. Su.ch signs, banners, displays and flags shall<br />

not exceed a sign area, in the aggregate at anyone time, up to thirty-two (32) square feet <strong>of</strong><br />

sign area for the first five thousand (5,000) square feet <strong>of</strong> building; eighty (80) square feet. in<br />

area, for occupancies greater than 5000 square feet up to 20,000 square feet; one hundredand-twenty(120)<br />

square feet, for occupancies greater than 20,000 1 up to 60,000 square feet,<br />

with a maximum <strong>of</strong> one hundred-and-sixty square feet (160) <strong>of</strong> sign area, for occupancies<br />

greater than 60,000 square feet. Such signs shall be placed upon the exterior building wall <strong>of</strong><br />

the suite to which the signs are appurtenant.<br />

Other Signs:<br />

Undeveloped sites are allowed to display real estate, coming soon, or construction signs as<br />

follows: up to thirty-two (32) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area for 0 to five (5) acres <strong>of</strong> industrial<br />

use; greaterthal1 five (5) acres, up to twenty(20) acres, eighty (80) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area;<br />

greater than twenty (20) acres up to sixty (60) acres, one- hundred and twenty (120) square<br />

feet <strong>of</strong> sign area; and for sites greater than sixty (60) acres, one hundred and eighty (180)<br />

square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area. All signs shall be limited to twelve<br />

(12) feet in height from finished grade, and shall be installed at a minimum distance <strong>of</strong><br />

ten (10) feet from the property line.<br />

3.9 Appeals, Violations, Penalties and Enforcement<br />

3.91 Appeals<br />

Denial <strong>of</strong> a sign permit maybe appealed to the Hearing Officer, appointed by the <strong>Town</strong>) byfi1ing a<br />

written appeal within ten (10) days <strong>of</strong> denial <strong>of</strong> a sign permit, The Hearing Officer shall render his/her<br />

decision within fifteen (15) days <strong>of</strong> receipt <strong>of</strong> the written appeal,<br />
