within the center or complex and shall not be placed in the required perimeter landscape setback<br />

H. Commercial Center Interior Pedestrian Advertising Signs: Such signs shall not exceed six (6) feet<br />

in height nor twenty-four (24) square feet in sign area per sign face, and shall not be located closer<br />

than seventy-five (75) feet from a public street right-<strong>of</strong>-way line. Pedestrian advertising signs shall<br />

not obstruct sidewalks, required accessible paths <strong>of</strong> travel, or the visibility <strong>of</strong> other signs. Such<br />

signs shall be on-site signage, and subject to the prohibitions <strong>of</strong> Section 3.260).<br />

I. Pump- Topper or Spanner Signs: Signs affixed to the top or sides <strong>of</strong> an operable fuel dispensing<br />

pump must be approved by the Design Review Board as part <strong>of</strong> the sign package for the service<br />

station. Colors, materials and dimensions shall be regulated by the Board and shall complement the<br />

design and the scale <strong>of</strong> the canopy structure and the main building.<br />

J. Drive- Through Restaurant Menu Signs: Such signs shall not exceed seven (7) feet in height or fifty<br />

(50) square feet in sign area, and shall be limited to two (2) such signs per drive- through lane. Such<br />

signs shall be constructed with a solid base or decorative pole cover to conceal any exposed pole<br />

supports. The location and design <strong>of</strong> such signs shall be approved as part <strong>of</strong> the sign package for<br />

the restaurant.<br />

3.72 Temporary signs:<br />

The following temporary signs are allowed subject to the issuance <strong>of</strong> a sign permit,<br />

Initial Display <strong>of</strong> Banners and Non- Rigid Signs: Non-Rigid signs, banners,<br />

and advertising flags, shall be permitted on a one-time basis during the first year <strong>of</strong><br />

operation <strong>of</strong> a business, for a period <strong>of</strong> ninety (90) consecutive calendar days and<br />

commencing not earlier than thirty (30) days prior to the first day <strong>of</strong> operation <strong>of</strong> the<br />

business. Such signs, banners, displays and flags shall not exceed a sign area, in the<br />

aggregate at anyone time, up to thirty- two (32) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area for occupancies <strong>of</strong><br />

0 to 5,000 square feet; eighty (80) square feet in area, for occupancies greater than 5,000<br />

square feet up to 15,000 square feet; one hundred- and-twenty (120) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign<br />

area, for occupancies greater than 15,000 up to 50,000 square feet, and a maximum <strong>of</strong> one<br />

hundred-and-sixty square feet (160) <strong>of</strong> sign area, for occupancies greater than 50,000<br />

square feet. Such signs shall be placed upon the exterior building 'wall <strong>of</strong> the suite to<br />

which the signs are appurtenant.<br />

B. Periodic Display <strong>of</strong> Banners and Non-rigid Signs: Non-rigid signs, banners, displays and<br />

advertising flags are permitted to be displayed for a period not to exceed thirty (30)<br />

consecutive days per calendar quarter, Such signs, banners, displays and flags shall not<br />

exceed an aggregate sign area, at anyone time, up to thirty-two (32) square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area<br />

for occupancies <strong>of</strong> 0 to 5,000 square feet; eighty (80) square feet in area, for occupancies<br />

greater than 5,000 square feet up to 15,000 square feet; one hood red- and twenty (120)<br />

square feet <strong>of</strong> sign area, for occupancies greater than 15,000 up to 50,000 square feet, and<br />

a maximum <strong>of</strong> one hundred-and-sixty square feet (160) <strong>of</strong> sign area, for occupancies<br />

greater than 50,000 square feet. Such signs shall be placed upon the exterior building wall<br />

<strong>of</strong> the suite to which the signs are appurtenant.<br />

C. Other Signs (Real Estate or <strong>Development</strong> Signs:<br />

Undeveloped sites are allowed to display real estate signs, coming soon, future<br />
