GLOSSARY<br />

subdivision <strong>of</strong> land in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> this Chapter, but a subdivider need<br />

not be the person or persons holding deed to land, or holding title as vendees under land<br />

contract, or holding any other title <strong>of</strong> record.<br />

SUBDNISION: The division for lease or sale to the public <strong>of</strong> a tract or parcel <strong>of</strong> land into four<br />

(4) or more lots, tract or parcels <strong>of</strong> land, or if a new street is involved, any division <strong>of</strong> a parcel <strong>of</strong><br />

land, or the division <strong>of</strong> any residential lot, the boundaries <strong>of</strong> which have been fixed by a recorded<br />

plat; provided, that a partitioning or division <strong>of</strong> land into tracts or parcels <strong>of</strong> land <strong>of</strong> four (4) acres<br />

or more and not involving a new street, or the sale or exchange <strong>of</strong> parcels <strong>of</strong> land to or between<br />

adjoining property owners where such sale or exchange does not create additional lots, shall not be<br />

deemed a subdivision, and the partitioning <strong>of</strong> land in accordance with State law regulating the<br />

partitioning <strong>of</strong> land held in common ownership shall not be deemed a subdivision.<br />

SUPPORT STRUCTURE: The structure to which antennae and other hardware is mounted for<br />

the purposes <strong>of</strong> a Wireless Communications Facility.<br />

SURFACE, IMPERVIOUS: That land area covered by building ro<strong>of</strong>s (including patios,<br />

balconies and entryways) and asphalt or other surface devoted to parking spaces and driveways.<br />

SWIMMING POOL, PRIVATE: A pool established or maintained on any premises by an<br />

individual for hislher or hislher family's use or for guests <strong>of</strong> his/her household.<br />

TEEN CLUB: An enclosed or unenclosed structure which is open to persons from fifteen (15)<br />

through twenty (20) years <strong>of</strong> age unaccompanied by adults at which music is furnished for the<br />

purpose <strong>of</strong> social dancing, and at which a person fifteen (15) through twenty (20) years <strong>of</strong> age pays<br />

an admission, membership dues, or a minimum fee or cover charge, whether or not admission is<br />

limited to members only. "Teen dance center" shall include the enclosed or unenclosed structure<br />

and the surrounding premises used for parking and any activity related to the dancing operation.<br />

TELEVISION, RADIO AND FILM STUDIO: A facility for the production <strong>of</strong> films and/or the<br />

production and broadcast <strong>of</strong> television and radio programs including but not necessarily limited to:<br />

<strong>of</strong>fices, dressing rooms, studios, sound stages, file rooms, and set stage, but not including<br />

transmitting facilities.<br />

TOBACCO / SMOKE SHOP: A retail establishment at which the sale <strong>of</strong> cigarettes, cigars,<br />

tobacco, pipes and/or chewing tobacco comprises not less than sixty (60) percent <strong>of</strong> the gross<br />

revenue for the establishment.<br />

TRANSFER STATION, HAZARDOUS: A facility used for storage <strong>of</strong> non-hazardous waste for<br />

a period <strong>of</strong> less than ninety (90) days.<br />
