Ibrahim was summ<strong>on</strong>ed by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Central Investigati<strong>on</strong> Department (CID) <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Somali police in Mogadishu. When he complied with <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> request, he<br />
was arrested and detained. He was reportedly held without charge and<br />
subjected to prol<strong>on</strong>ged interrogati<strong>on</strong>s. The arrest and detenti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Abdiaziz<br />
Abdinur appears to be linked to an article published by Al Jazeera <strong>on</strong> 6<br />
January 2013, describing rape in camps for internally displaced people in<br />
Mogadishu. The CID allegedly also questi<strong>on</strong>ed o<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r Somali journalists in<br />
c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> with <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> article, including Mr. Omar Faruk, <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Arabic<br />
corresp<strong>on</strong>dent for Al Jazeera, and Mr. Abdiaziz Mohamed Dirie, a radio<br />
journalist, who was reportedly detained for <strong>on</strong>e night in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Nati<strong>on</strong>al<br />

upheld by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Supreme Court and <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> verdicts have been sent to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Office</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
for <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Implementati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Sentences. The locati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> individuals was<br />
unknown to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>ir families. They have reportedly been sentenced under<br />
terrorism-related charges, including moharebeh (―enmity against God‖),<br />
efsad-e fel arz (―sowing corrupti<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> earth‖), ―ga<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>ring and colluding<br />
against State security‖ and ―spreading propaganda against <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> system‖,<br />
which are not c<strong>on</strong>sidered as most serious crimes under internati<strong>on</strong>al law,<br />
following a trial that allegedly did not comply with internati<strong>on</strong>al human<br />
rights law provisi<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> fair trial and due process.
