Qadir Muhammad, a Palestinian born in Iraq, was arrested in 2006 under<br />

accusati<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> attempting to plant explosives, and sentenced to death in 2011 <strong>on</strong><br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> basis <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Anti-Terror Law <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> 2005. He was allegedly held incommunicado<br />

for more than a year after his arrest, during which he was subjected to torture and<br />

had his c<strong>on</strong>fessi<strong>on</strong> extracted by coerci<strong>on</strong> and torture. Following a trial that<br />

allegedly did not comply with internati<strong>on</strong>al human rights law provisi<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> fair<br />

trial and due process guarantees, he was reportedly transferred to al-Kadhimiya<br />

Pris<strong>on</strong> in Baghdad at <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> end <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> August 2012. He is reported to be at risk <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

imminent executi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Allégati<strong>on</strong>s d‘expulsi<strong>on</strong> imminente vers la Libye et risque élevé de torture et de<br />

mauvais traitements. Sel<strong>on</strong> les informati<strong>on</strong>s reçues, M. Aymane Souleymane<br />

Abdulhamid Sayeh, un citoyen libyen actuellement en détenti<strong>on</strong> au Maroc, est<br />

menacé d‘expulsi<strong>on</strong> imminente vers la Libye, où il est allégué qu'il pourrait être<br />

soumis à la torture et aux mauvais traitements, ou même être tué. Il est aussi<br />

rapporté que le père de M. Sayeh était un agent de sécurité travaillant pour l‘ancien<br />

gouvernement libyen de Mouammar Kadhafi.<br />

Alleged assassinati<strong>on</strong> attempt against an advocate for girl‘s educati<strong>on</strong> by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). According to informati<strong>on</strong> received, <strong>on</strong> 9<br />

October, 2012 two gunmen stopped <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> school bus in which Ms. Malala Yousafzai<br />

was returning home from school in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Swat Valley, Pakistan, and shot her and<br />

two o<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r girls, critically injuring Ms. Yousafzai. On 10 October, a spokespers<strong>on</strong><br />

for <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> TTP claimed resp<strong>on</strong>sibility for <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> attack in a statement to nati<strong>on</strong>al and<br />

internati<strong>on</strong>al media, and indicated that if she survives, she, and o<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>rs who preach<br />

―secularism and so called enlightened modernism‖ will be targeted again.<br />
