Presunta violación sexual y agresi<strong>on</strong>es sufridas por una Jueza. Según la<br />

información recibida, María Lourdes Afiuni Mora fue arrestada y mantenida<br />

en detención en espera de juicio durante más de tres años como represalia<br />

por haber aplicado una recomendación del Grupo de Trabajo sobre la<br />

Detención Arbitraria del C<strong>on</strong>sejo de Derechos <strong>Human</strong>os en favor de un<br />

ciudadano venezolano. De c<strong>on</strong>formidad c<strong>on</strong> las informaci<strong>on</strong>es recibidas, la<br />

Jueza Afiuni Mora fue c<strong>on</strong>ducida en diciembre de 2009 al Instituto Naci<strong>on</strong>al<br />

de Orientación Femenina (INOF) d<strong>on</strong>de habría sufrido diversas agresi<strong>on</strong>es y<br />

actos de intimidación por parte de otras detenidas, algunas de las cuales<br />

fuer<strong>on</strong> enviadas a prisión por la Jueza, así como una violación sexual por<br />

parte de un agente del Gobierno. Esta violación habría culminado en un<br />

embarazo, interrumpido por un aborto esp<strong>on</strong>taneo. La Jueza Afiuni fue<br />

objeto de cuatro comunicaci<strong>on</strong>es anteriores, (ver A/<str<strong>on</strong>g>HRC</str<strong>on</strong>g>/20/30 VEN<br />

2/2011, A/<str<strong>on</strong>g>HRC</str<strong>on</strong>g>/18/<str<strong>on</strong>g>51</str<strong>on</strong>g> VEN 8/2010, A/<str<strong>on</strong>g>HRC</str<strong>on</strong>g>/16/44/Add.1 para 2417, y<br />

A/<str<strong>on</strong>g>HRC</str<strong>on</strong>g>/14/26/Add.1 para 1209).<br />

Alleged detenti<strong>on</strong> and attacks against a Christian <strong>on</strong> allegati<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

committing ―acti<strong>on</strong>s against <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> nati<strong>on</strong>al security <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Iran‖. According to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

informati<strong>on</strong> received, <strong>on</strong> 26 September 2012, Mr. Saeed Abedinigalangashi,<br />

an Iranian-US citizen, was arrested in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Islamic Republic <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Iran before<br />

catching a flight back to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> United States <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> America, where he resides. He<br />

has been held in Evin pris<strong>on</strong>, Iran, ever since. His lawyer was denied access<br />

to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> detainee and his file, and no informati<strong>on</strong> was provided about <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

charges brought against him. On 14 January 2012, his lawyer was reportedly<br />

informed that Mr. Abedinigalangashi‘s trial would start <strong>on</strong> 21 January 2013,<br />

and allowed access to his file. Mr. Abedinigalangashi has allegedly been<br />

held in solitary c<strong>on</strong>finement for four weeks and subjected to beating while<br />

in pris<strong>on</strong>. Mr Abedinigalangashi was previously summ<strong>on</strong>ed to court in 2005<br />

<strong>on</strong> account <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> his religious activity and was detained in 2009. He was<br />

released after agreeing to cease his involvement with <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> ‗house churches‖.<br />
