<strong>on</strong> 2 November 2012, acting Vice President <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Bahrain Centre for <strong>Human</strong><br />
<strong>Rights</strong>, Mr. Sayed Yousif AlMuhafdhah was arrested by security forces in al-<br />
Diraz, west <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Manama. He was subsequently transferred to Budaiya Police<br />
Stati<strong>on</strong>, and <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> following morning he was brought to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Public Prosecutor‘s<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fice where it was declared that he would remain in detenti<strong>on</strong> for seven days <strong>on</strong><br />
charges <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> ―participati<strong>on</strong> in illegal protests‖. Ms. Jalila Al Salman, Head <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
Bahrain Teachers Society, was originally arrested in March 2011 following a<br />
Government ban <strong>on</strong> protests and sentenced to 3 years in pris<strong>on</strong>. Following a<br />
review her sentence was reduced to 6 m<strong>on</strong>ths and following a hunger strike she<br />
was released in August 2011. She was re-arrested in October 2012 and required to<br />
spend ano<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r two weeks in pris<strong>on</strong>. On 30 October 2012, <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Interior Minister<br />
Sheikh Rashid Al Khalifah allegedly announced a ban <strong>on</strong> all public rallies and<br />
ga<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>rings stating that <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>y were associated with violence, rioting and attacks <strong>on</strong><br />
public and private property.<br />
Allégati<strong>on</strong>s d‘une expulsi<strong>on</strong> par des habitants du quartier Nord de la ville de<br />
Marseille de familles Roms. Sel<strong>on</strong> les informati<strong>on</strong>s reçues, le 27 septembre 2012<br />
une cinquantaine d‘habitants de la cité des Créneaux dans les quartiers Nord de<br />
Marseille se seraient rassemblés pour procéder à l‘expulsi<strong>on</strong> de familles Roms, y<br />
compris des enfants, installées sur un terrain vague. C<strong>on</strong>traints à la fuite sous la<br />
menace et les insultes des habitants et des riverains, les familles Roms <strong>on</strong>t dû<br />
quitter le campement avec caravanes et véhicules, laissant derrière eux des effets<br />
pers<strong>on</strong>nels que les habitants du quartier auraient brûlés avec le reste du<br />
campement. La passivité et l‘inacti<strong>on</strong> des pouvoirs publics et de la police avant et<br />
après l‘incident <strong>on</strong>t été rapportées. Sel<strong>on</strong> les informati<strong>on</strong>s reçues la police aurait<br />
c<strong>on</strong>staté les faits sans pour autant relever d‘infracti<strong>on</strong> et n‘y procéder à aucune<br />
interpellati<strong>on</strong>. Cet incident ferait suite à des faits récurrents d‘agressi<strong>on</strong> ou<br />
d‘oppositi<strong>on</strong> entre les riverains et les occupants des campements Roms.<br />
