According to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> informati<strong>on</strong> received, in October 2001, Mr. Abdulrahman<br />

Suleiman, a nati<strong>on</strong>al <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Yemen, was apprehended by <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Pakistani authorities and<br />

turned over to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> United States military. It is alleged that he was tortured in<br />

Kandahar, Afghanistan and <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>n around February 2002 transferred to Guantanamo<br />

Bay where he remains. Mr. Suleiman‘s health is rapidly deteriorating. He is<br />

reportedly suffering from severe pain in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> area <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> his kidneys and appendix. Mr.<br />

Suleiman was examined by a doctor and had x-rays taken. Despite his repeated<br />

complaints, he has allegedly not received adequate medical attenti<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Alegaci<strong>on</strong>es del supuesto amedrentamiento de la Radio Candela. Según las<br />

informaci<strong>on</strong>es recibidas, el 31 de julio de 2012, en horas de la mañana, la Radio<br />

Candela habría recibido ―una visita de inspección técnica‖ por parte de tres<br />

funci<strong>on</strong>arios del ente regulador Comisión Naci<strong>on</strong>al de Telecomunicaci<strong>on</strong>es<br />

(CONATEL). El 26 de julio, Radio Candela habría realizado un acto de rechazo a<br />

la presencia del Presidente Federico Franco en la cuidad de Encarnación, que<br />

habría sido transmitido en directo por la radio, y en el que habrían participado<br />

varias organizaci<strong>on</strong>es de mujeres. Radio Candela es una emisora ciudadana que<br />

pertenece a la Kuña Róga, una organización que trabaja por los derechos de las<br />

mujeres así como en la promoción y defensa de los derechos humanos y los<br />

valores democráticos.<br />

Allegati<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> excessive use <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> force during protests, resulting in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> death <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> two<br />

children. According to <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> informati<strong>on</strong> received, a protest took place in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> village<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Saddad <strong>on</strong> 28 September 2012. A 17 year old was reportedly shot dead by riot<br />

police who used shotguns whilst dispersing participants. It is alleged by that <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

death certificate indicates that <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> death was caused by shotgun injuries <strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

child‘s back, which c<strong>on</strong>tradicts <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> authorities‘ statement alleging that he was<br />

killed in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>text <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> an act <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> self-defence. It is reported that a similar event<br />

took place in Muharraq <strong>on</strong> 17 August 2012, when a 16-year-old protester died<br />

during clashes between protesters and security forces.<br />
