• Mortality Surveillance:<br />

o Surveillance for <strong>Influenza</strong> and Pneumonia Deaths: As part of the 122 cities<br />

surveillance system for pneumonia and influenza deaths, eight cities in NYS<br />

report weekly the total number of deaths and those with influenza or pneumonia<br />

listed as a contributing cause of death.<br />
