developing new SEC products that will provide even higher resolution and quicker separations.<br />
This section highlights <strong>Agilent</strong>’s broad family of SEC columns for protein biopolymer analysis:<br />
• Bio SEC-3 and Bio SEC-5 columns are available in a variety of pore sizes, and are well suited<br />
for protein analysis – especially when determining the presence of dimers and aggregates in<br />
therapeutic biologicals. Note that 3 µm Bio SEC-3 columns provide higher resolution than our<br />
industry-standard 5 µm Bio SEC-5 columns.<br />
• ProSec 300S columns work well with globular proteins under high salt conditions.<br />
• ZORBAX GF-250 and GF-450 columns are best for preparative SEC of proteins, because<br />
of their larger column size and higher flow rates.<br />
• PL aquagel-OH columns can be used to analyze biopolymers of broad molecular weights,<br />
such as PEGs, oligo- and polysaccharides, starches, and gums.<br />
