ST, VINCENT.<br />
A Township in the Sinicoe District; is bounded on the north by the Notta-<br />
T^asaga Bay; on the west by the township of Sydenham; on the south by Euphrasia;<br />
and on the east by Nottawasaga Bay and the township of CoUing-wood.<br />
In St. Vincent I,028 acres are taken up, 1592 of which are under cultivation.<br />
This township is beginning to settle up fast: it contains good land, and some<br />
thriving farms. The principal settlements are a short distance from the bay.<br />
There is an Indian village on the bay, near the town line between St. Vincent<br />
and Sydenham, the inhabitants of which possess a fine tract of land in the neighbourhood.<br />
St. Vincent was added to the Simcoe District in 1844, previous to<br />
which time, it formed a portion of the Home District. One thousand five hundred<br />
acres of Crown lands are open for sale in the township, at 8s. currency<br />
per acre. There are two grist and two saw mills in the township.<br />
There has as yet been no return of the population from St. Vincent<br />
Ratable property in the township, £6758.<br />
ST. WILLIAMS, OR PORT METCALFE.<br />
A Village in the township of Charlotteville, situated on Lake Erie, six miles<br />
west from Norniandale. It contains about 100 inhabitants and a Methodist<br />
church, one store, one tavern, one waggon maker, one blacksmith, one tailor,<br />
one shoemaker.<br />
STURGEON CREEK.<br />
A small Stream in the township of Mersea, which runs into Lake Erie; on<br />
which is a grist mill.<br />

SULLIVAN.<br />
A Township in the Wellington District; is bounded on the east by the township<br />
of Holland; on the nortli by Derby; on the west by unsurveyed lands;<br />
and on the south by Bentiuck. This township has only lately been stirveyed<br />
and laid out, and no return has yet been made from it. Fifty-two thousand<br />
two hundred acres of Crown lands are open for sale in it, at 8*. currency per acre.<br />
SUNNIDALE.<br />
A Township in the Sinicoe District; is bounded on the north by the Nottawasaga<br />
i5iiy; on the west by the to\\nship of Nottawasaga; on the south by<br />
Tossorontio and Kssa; and on the east by Flos and Vespra. In Sunnidale .3144<br />
acres are taken up, ."578 of which are under cultivation. The Nottawasaga<br />
River enters the township at the south-east <strong>com</strong>er—runs nearly north for rather<br />
more than three miles, when it curves to the east, and leaves the township:<br />
after passing thrf>ugh the townshi])s of Vespra and Flos, it re-enters Sunnidale,<br />
about three miles from the hay, runs west to within a mile of the town line
