2.5 Establish mechanisms to support transportation<br />
services provided by human services agencies,<br />
continued.<br />
2.5.3 Develop, encourage and promote cooperative relationships between<br />
public transit providers and human services organizations around transit<br />
support functions (e.g. maintenance, rider information, travel training) through<br />
workshop settings, special projects and any other means devised.<br />
2.5.4 Establish basic reporting tools, including driver logs, dispatch logs and<br />
standardized definitions <strong>of</strong> terms that can be easily adopted by human services<br />
agencies to report on transportation provided and to monitor trends.<br />
2.5.5 Encourage the use <strong>of</strong> basic reporting tools by human services agencies<br />
through all possible means, including the Call for Projects and liaison with other<br />
human services funding sources (Tri-Counties Regional Center, Dept. <strong>of</strong> Social<br />
Services, Headstart, Dept. <strong>of</strong> Behavioral Health, Public Health and others).<br />
2.6 Establish procedures to measure the quantities <strong>of</strong><br />
trips provided, existing and new.<br />
2.6.1. Promote full participation in the annual inventory process and<br />
develop other means <strong>of</strong> achieving accurate counts <strong>of</strong> all publicly-supported<br />
specialized transportation programs in the region.<br />
2.6.2 Require all Call for Projects’ applicants to complete inventory forms and<br />
to be in the specialized transportation database.<br />
2.6.3 Establish other mechanisms to improve the accuracy <strong>of</strong> counting<br />
person trips provided by human services organizations to the target<br />
populations.<br />
