Installing Ink Formulation
26.1 Hardware and software requirements
IBM compatible personal computer
• Processor: 266 MHz Pentium II or more.
• Operating system: Graphical user interface Windows 98SE, ME,
2000, NT or XP.
• Main memory (RAM): 128 MB.
• Mass storage: Hard disk with at least 40 MB free space.
• Screen: Resolution 1024 x 768
• Interfaces: You need a free serial or USB interface to connect your
spectrophotometer and a USB port for the copy protection pin.
26.2 Installation on a PC
26.2.1 Preparing for installation
If you already have an installed version of this software and are carrying
out an update, you should make a complete backup copy of the program
directory or a backup of the database ( see Section 20.7 «Backing
up the database»).
26.2.2 Installing on a personal computer
1. Start WINDOWS.
2. Insert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and wait till the GretagMacbeth
Setup window appears.
3. Click on the symbol for Ink Formulation.
The Setup program now leads you step by step through the installation.
Read all the displayed information carefully before proceeding with
installation.
