MONITORINGSurface and groundwater monitoring may be required in sensitive areas on a case by case basis todetermine compliance with nitrogen and phosphorus discharge standards.If monitoring of fertilizer management is required as a condition of project approval, includefrequency and rate of application as a line item in the <strong>BMP</strong> Inspection and Maintenance Plan,described in Chapter 6 – Inspection, Maintenance, and Monitoring. Additionally, annualsummary reports are required from the party named – under Section 1. Project and SiteDescription – responsible for fertilizer management.
