Regular <strong>BMP</strong> inspection and maintenance prevents costlyrepair and/or <strong>BMP</strong> replacement.The Small Residential Property <strong>BMP</strong> Inspection, Maintenance, and MonitoringChecklist at the end of this chapter provides inspection protocols, maintenanceactions, and monitoring requirements for <strong>BMP</strong>s most commonly installed onresidential properties less than 1 acre in size and all single family residential(SFR) properties.Periodically open inspectionports to check for sedimentaccumulation.
