from both print and electronic sources<br />

Chapter Four: Conceptualising and Contextualising Social Technical<br />

Systems Theory, Systems Theory and Info mobilisation<br />

Chapter four discusses the concept <strong>of</strong> Info-Mobilisation within the confines <strong>of</strong><br />

Systems and Socio-Technical Systems Theories, and how this can be applied<br />

to the study.<br />

Chapter Five: leTs, Gender and Development<br />

Chapter five reviews literature related to the study, drawn from both print<br />

and electronic sources. This is done in line with the objectives <strong>of</strong> the study.<br />

Chapter Six: Research design and methodology<br />

This chapter covers the research methodology and design <strong>of</strong> the study. It<br />

discusses the survey research method, the case study method, the<br />

qualitative and quantitative approaches used, the study population, the<br />

sampling methods, and the data collection instruments used. Data collection<br />

procedures and data analysis are also discussed.<br />

Chapter Seven: Data presentation and analysis<br />

This chapter presents and analyses data obtained through the case study<br />

method and questionnaires.<br />

Chapter Eight: Case studies<br />

Chapter eight evaluates and portrays four ongoing rural ICT development<br />

projects in both Kenya and South Africa.<br />
