Perform excavation and backfill work under Section 209.604.04 Concrete Construction. Construct concrete manholes, inlets, andcatch basins according to Section 601. Concrete units may be cast-in-place orprecast. Finish the surface according to Subsection 552.16(a) or (b) asapplicable.Where a pipe enters through an existing concrete wall, cut the concrete andsteel reinforcement in a manner that will not loosen the reinforcement in thewall. Cut the steel reinforcement flush with the opening wall face. Grout alljoints and openings cut in the wall.Finish the channel flow line in manholes, inlets, and catch basins accuratelyto match the pipe flow line.531
