Section 721(4) A vertical load of 250 pounds applied at the luminaire attachmentpoint, and no collapse or rupture of any portion of the structure.(5) The pole arm and luminaire mass with a maximum allowable deflectionfrom vertical at the top of the pole of 1 percent of the total shaftlength.Prime the poles inside and out according to the fabricator's recommendation.Use epoxy modified enamel matching FSS 595A color 27040 for the finishcoat.(b) Pole arms.(1) Material. Furnish steel or aluminum. Use the same material as thepole.(2) Type. Furnish bracket type, truss or single member arms. Furnishsingle member arms with a minimum diameter of 2 inches and the sametaper as the pole.(3) Connection. Furnish a weather resistant connection to the pole anda smooth raceway for wiring. Furnish all fittings for connection to thepole.(c) Anchor bases. Furnish a one-piece base dimensioned for adequate polemounting and structural support with holes for anchor bolts and tapped holesfor anchor bolt covers. Fabricate anchor bases from material similar to thepole material and conform to the following:(1) Steel casings AASHTO M 103 grade 65-35(2) Steel plate AASHTO M 183(3) Aluminum castings ASTM B 26 alloy SG70A-T6 (356-T6)(d) Bolts, nuts, and washers.(1) Steel anchor bolts. Conform to AASHTO M 183 except as amendedby (a) or (b) below:(a) (1) Yield strength 55 ksi min.(2) Tensile strength 75 to 95 ksi(3) Elongation in 8 inches 18% min.772
